RED LIGHT!!

Toyota jeep. License KY#446AFA

I think the question for people who persist in flying, wearing, and otherwise using the Confederate Flag as a symbol is, "What does it mean to you?"

I believe there was a time when a certain segment of Southern society still harked back to their own ancestors who fought in the Civil War.  My own family, on both my maternal and paternal grandparents' sides, have deep Southern roots. So when I was about 18, and I visited my Uncle Jay Dee Patton (yes. We are distantly related to General Patton) in Richmond, and he drove to the circle on Monument Street where the huge statue of Robert E. Lee astride his horse sits commanding, pulled the car over,  made us get out and salute, I saw no irony whatsoever.  But I was young, and I'd been raised with a white person's education in America.

That ship has sailed.

It's The Movement for Black Lives and Standing Up for Racial Justice "Take Action" Day!

So....

Is the Confederacy in its death throes?

..The only good confederate flag is a very old, very tattered one. (Exit 48BG Parkway)

Here's my action.

I've thought about this for some time. Those of you who have been flying that Confederate flag (and later, we can get intyo what kind of nonsense that even is) especially since Dylan Roof sat in Bible study in an AME Church with nine good Christian people, and then cold-blooded murdered them, after which you clearly saw,  even if you can't read, him posing with numerous Confederate flags, you do understand now that any remanant of an excuse that you ever had for that flag is wiped out, and everyone knows  it means you are racist?

So I intend to help you flout that, since you evidently want the world to know. I encourage people, inCentral Kentucky, and anywhere, to send me pictures which I will publish. I'll include the address, too, so you can thank these people for at least being honest about their racism.
